What is Zindaclin?
Zindaclin is an antibiotic gel for acne that you apply to the affected areas of your skin once a day. It works by stopping the bacteria that live on your skin from reproducing which, in turn, reduces and prevents the formation of spots.
Acne is most common in early adulthood and adolescence, but you can get it any time. It can be caused by a range of things that lead to your skin producing more of a substance called sebum. When a lot of sebum is produced, it causes the bacteria that live on your skin to feed off of it and excrete waste products that block your pores - leading to the formation of spots.
How does Zindaclin work?
Zindaclin is an antibiotic, which means that it specifically targets bacteria. In the case of acne, it’s often caused by excess amounts of bacteria on your skin producing waste products that inflame your skin’s sebaceous glands and cause them to become blocked.
As a result, without this bacteria thriving and blocking your pores, your sebaceous glands are less likely to become inflamed and blocked, meaning that spots don’t form. But, because this process takes time, it can take a while for you to notice the effects from this treatment.
What doses of Zindaclin are there?
There’s only one strength of Zindaclin, but your clinician might recommend that you use the cream more frequently if your symptoms require it. If you haven’t noticed any difference after using Zindaclin for eight weeks, let our clinician know, you might need to try another treatment.
