Antibacterial cream to treat and prevent nasal infections.

Naseptin is an antibacterial cream that helps to treat nasal infections and prevent them from returning or spreading. It’s applied locally to the inner nostrils, to fight the infection directly.
Tell us a little about your health in our consultation, and we’ll recommend some treatments – the final choice is yours. When you order Naseptin online at Treated, you’ll also have access to our team of expert clinicians to answer any questions you might have.
Naseptin Nasal Cream is an antiseptic, antibacterial cream for staph infections in your nose. These infections are caused by a bacteria called staphylococcus aureus, which usually lives on the skin without causing any problems. However, if staphylococcus aureus bacteria get into the body (through a cut, for example) they can cause infections.
You apply Naseptin straight into your nostril, so it treats the infection directly. Naseptin Nasal Cream is designed to fight off the bacteria causing the infection, and help stop it coming back in the future.
There are two active ingredients in Naseptin Nasal Cream that work to kill the bacteria causing the infection, and prevent it from spreading or returning. The first, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, is an antiseptic that’s effective against many different viruses, yeasts, fungi and bacteria. The second, neomycin sulfate, interferes with the bacteria’s production of proteins that it needs to multiply and spread. Together, this should treat any infection and help prevent it coming back in the future.
Naseptin is a safe treatment for most people, including children and pregnant or breastfeeding women. However, you shouldn’t take Naseptin if you have a peanut allergy, as the cream contains peanut oil. Always check the list of ingredients to make sure you’re not allergic to anything in your treatment.
If you have any hearing problems, talk about taking Naseptin with your doctor. There’s a chance that taking Naseptin could make your hearing worse.

You should only use Naseptin as your clinician has instructed you. To use Naseptin Nasal Cream, put a small amount of cream onto the tip of your little finger, and apply it inside one of your nostrils. Then do the same for the other nostril. You can gently squeeze your nostrils together to make sure the cream is spread evenly.
To treat an infection, you’ll typically use Naseptin four times a day. To prevent infection, apply Naseptin twice a day.
Don’t use Naseptin straight after you wash your face. If it mixes with certain types of soap, Naseptin’s effectiveness can be reduced.
You’ll typically use Naseptin for 10 days to treat an infection. If you’ve used Naseptin for 10 days and your infection hasn’t improved, you should contact your doctor.
If you or anyone else accidentally ingests or applies too much Naseptin, try not to worry. If you aren’t allergic to peanuts, you’re unlikely to experience any adverse effects. You should contact a doctor as soon as possible if you have any concerns. Naseptin contains peanut oil, so if someone with a peanut allergy comes into contact with it, you should seek medical attention immediately.
If you forget to apply your dose of Naseptin, you can apply the missed cream as soon as you remember. If your next dose is just around the corner, skip the one you missed and continue from your next one as normal; don’t apply double the cream to make up for missing a dose.
