Easy-to-apply cream for rosacea.

Soolantra is a cream used to fight the bumps and blemishes of rosacea, a common skin condition that can cause flushing and visible blood vessels in your face, as well as small bumps or fluid-filled blisters. It’s a popular anti-inflammatory and anti-parasitic treatment that helps reduce inflammation in the face and eases rosacea symptoms.
We’re making prescriptions easier. Talk to us about your health, order Soolantra online, and get professional aftercare when you need it.
Soolantra is a branded cream-based medication that contains the active ingredient ivermectin, which is a drug that helps the body tackle parasites and inflammation. The cream is designed to deal with the pimples and spots that you can get with rosacea flare-ups, a common skin condition that affects approximately 40 million people worldwide.
It isn’t entirely clear how Soolantra works, but it’s thought that the active ingredient ivermectin helps the body reduce symptoms of rosacea through its anti-inflammatory and anti-parasitic properties. Soolantra is specifically used to treat the bumps and blemishes caused by rosacea and has been very effective in clinical studies. Over 60% of participants noticed an improvement in their symptoms.
Soolantra is only available in one strength, 1%, which means that the cream contains 1% ivermectin. But it is available in three different sizes: 30g, 45g and 60g tubes. Which size tube to get depends on how severe your rosacea is, and our clinician can recommend the best option for you.
How we source info.
When we present you with stats, data, opinion or a consensus, we’ll tell you where this came from. And we’ll only present data as clinically reliable if it’s come from a reputable source, such as a state or government-funded health body, a peer-reviewed medical journal, or a recognised analytics or data body. Apply a small, pea-sized amount of gel to each of the five areas of your face (forehead, nose, chin and each cheek) once daily
Soolantra should be applied evenly and smoothly in a thin layer on the face and neck
Avoid eyes, lips, mouth and inner nose
If you’re not sure about anything when taking this medication, ask our clinician or pharmacist prescriber for advice or refer to the package information leaflet.
Soolantra is usually prescribed for longer-term use, so don’t expect to see noticeable results right away. Studies have shown that some patients see a difference after about two weeks of use, but the most improvement was seen over a twelve-week period. So it can take a few months before you get the full benefits.
It’s important though to keep using Soolantra for as long as your clinician has prescribed it, as symptoms can come back even after you see an improvement.
There’s no evidence to suggest Soolantra is harmful, and it’s an easy product to use, but it’s important to always follow the instructions given by your clinician. If you feel any skin irritation or burning sensations, wash the area thoroughly, stop using Soolantra and contact your clinician for further advice.
