How are Treated better than their competitors?

Getting treatment online shouldn’t just be a transaction. It should be the start of better care. While some services just ship a box and move on, we focus on what happens next. From unlimited access to our clinical team to delivering from our own UK pharmacy, here’s a look at how we do things differently, and how we compare to our competitors.

Questionnaire review and follow up

We follow up with every single patient to see how they’re getting on. While some online pharmacies simply prescribe and send medication, we’re a holistic health partner.

And our aftercare is treatment led. So while we always touch base, we recognise that you don’t always need your hand to be held.

So how does that look in practice?

If you get a one-off treatment, we’ll generally only drop in after a week or two to see how you’re getting on. We might then occasionally get in touch to let you know if there have been any updates to our service or to your treatment.

If you’re a subscriber, we’ll be in touch a bit more often (depending on your treatment or condition). Some conditions benefit from closer monitoring than others, and we always need to make sure we’re prescribing safely, so periodic check-ins help us make sure the treatment we’re sending you is still right for you.

These messages also provide the opportunity for you to optimise your treatment. Whether you need to change your dose, how often you receive your treatment, or how much treatment we send you, we’ll always let you know what your options are and help you find the plan that suits you best.

But the main thing is, whether we’re reaching out to you, or you’re reaching out to us, we’re never too far away.

Unlimited access to clinicians

Regardless of whether you’re a Treated subscriber or you had a one-time delivery of medication, you get unlimited, round-the-clock, completely free access to our team of experts.

You can ask them anything* you like (*about health), anytime you like, as often as you like. And we’ll always aim to reply within one working day.

So how does that compare with other online pharmacies?

  • Some may charge for an appointment or prescription consultation
  • Others might limit how often and when you can chat to a clinician
  • Many will take longer to respond to you, such as by email in 3-5 business days

And we don’t give automated replies or try to palm you off elsewhere. We put you in touch with real health experts who take the time and attention to give you the response you need.

Own UK-based registered pharmacy

Unlike many online pharmacies, we’re more than just a website. Treated Pharmacy, where we dispense from, is a real brick and mortar dispensary owned and operated by us and us alone.

Why should you care about this?

Because it speeds up prescription fulfillment and helps us operate more efficiently and independently. That means we can have more stable medication supply and prices; more direct oversight on procedures, safety, and compliance; and more control over deliveries, helping us get your treatment to you as soon as possible.

It also means that if there are any issues with your prescription fulfillment, medication supply, or delivery, we can let you know sooner, without any confusing back-and-forth.

CQC registered and a member of DiCE

Our CQC registration helps us make sure our processes are safer and even more clinically robust. This means you can have the peace of mind that the care you’re receiving is of the highest quality and that we’re adhering to the very best standards.

We’re also a member of the DiCE network, a group of digital healthcare providers working together to drive online healthcare forward and make it safer. Although many of our competitors are also members, some aren’t. So make sure to check that your healthcare provider is committed to the highest standards possible.

Fast delivery

We review consultations as soon as possible, and ship treatments via next-day delivery. This means that if you consult with us at midday on a Tuesday, you can receive your treatment by Wednesday afternoon. And it doesn’t cost extra for speedy deliveries. It’s all included in the cost of your treatment.

But how does this stack up against other providers? Let’s take a look.

No strict subscription based service

We provide complete flexibility with our subscriptions. No contracts or obligations. No phone calls to cancel. So if you need to pause, skip, cancel, or change your treatment, you can do so quickly and painlessly.

And you can change your delivery date, too. So if you’ve got a trip coming up, or have a change in circumstances, we can flex your treatment to match your life.

We’ll ask you a few questions to understand your needs better, and always put your safety first, but we won’t stand in your way.

Discreet packaging

In our most recent patient survey, 92.48% of respondents ranked us positively (either ‘Good’ or ‘Very good’) for the condition their package arrived in. This tells us that our packaging is secure and robust. We always send medication in secure cardboard boxes, and we make sure that refrigerated items are kept cool in transit and received in person.

Our packaging prints are subtle, too, and don’t give away what’s inside.
